Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Covina, California. This is a Contract to permanent position, providing an excellent opportunity for growth within the organization. The ideal candidate will support payroll processing, HR administration, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Responsibilities: u2022 Process payroll on a bi-weekly schedule, including manual checks, corrections, and voids. u2022 Manage onboarding and offboarding tasks, ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate. u2022 Maintain and update employee records, including job titles, benefits, and employment status. u2022 Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and prepare necessary reports. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payroll and timekeeping systems. u2022 Assist employees with inquiries regarding wages, attendance, deductions, and leave balances. u2022 Coordinate with internal departments to manage benefit changes and leave administration. u2022 Support employee relations by addressing issues and maintaining a positive workplace environment. u2022 Handle clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and managing the front desk and switchboard. u2022 Oversee office operations, including supply management and mailroom activities. Requirements u2022 2u20135 years of experience in HR or payroll roles, with proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP). u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle confidential information. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Access. u2022 Solid understanding of employment laws and payroll regulations. u2022 Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver attentive and thorough customer service to employees and visitors. u2022 Honest, diligent, and able to take initiative while following instructions effectively. u2022 Willingness to grow within the role and take on additional responsibilities over time.
