Sr. Tax Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team on a part-time contract basis. This role focuses on preparing individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations, and maintaining accuracy throughout the filing process. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in tax preparation software and accounting tools, along with a strong background in tax compliance and reporting. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns with precision and accuracy. u2022 Ensure compliance with multi-state tax regulations and reporting requirements. u2022 Utilize Intuit Lacerte and ProSeries software for efficient tax preparation and filing. u2022 Analyze financial data using Microsoft Excel to support accurate tax reporting. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance. u2022 Leverage QuickBooks for financial management and reporting tasks. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in preparing individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns. u2022 Proficiency in Intuit Lacerte and ProSeries tax preparation software. u2022 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. u2022 Strong understanding of multi-state tax compliance and regulations. u2022 Familiarity with QuickBooks for financial management. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies. u2022 Effective communication skills for team collaboration. u2022 CPA certification or relevant public accounting experience preferred.
