Description Our client, a growing White Plains-based firm, is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of legal experience to join its expanding mass arbitration practice. Role Overview The Senior Associate will take a leading role in managing and overseeing arbitration mattersu2014both consumer and commercialu2014for a range of clients. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with major arbitration providers such as the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and JAMS, and a strong understanding of the procedural and strategic differences between arbitration and traditional litigation. Key Responsibilities u2022 Oversee and manage all phases of arbitration matters, including initiating filings, coordinating discovery, and handling procedural motions and hearings. u2022 Serve as a subject matter expert on arbitration processes, rules, and best practices. u2022 Supervise or coordinate day-to-day operations of ongoing arbitrations, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met. u2022 Collaborate with team members and firm leadership to refine and scale arbitration processes using firm-developed software and workflow systems. u2022 Contribute to client strategy, risk assessment, and case management planning. u2022 Mentor junior team members and help grow the firmu2019s arbitration capabilities. Requirements Qualifications u2022 J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar u2022 Minimum of 5 yearsu2019 experience in arbitration, litigation, or dispute resolution, with a demonstrated understanding of AAA, JAMS, or similar arbitration rules and procedures. u2022 Prior experience handling consumer or commercial claims preferred. Candidates should have a growth-oriented mindset and be interested in building this practice.
