Availability varies and will be confirmed at the time of the interview. u2022 Every other weekend required Responsibilities: u2022 Demonstrates knowledge of techniques and treatment modalities for patients of varying ages, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric. u2022 Documents all pertinent data on the patientu2019s medical record after completing service. u2022 Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understanding the purpose and possible side effects of each. u2022 Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment, remaining alert to possible side effects. u2022 Sets up and monitors mechanical ventilators, including airway management and tracheal suctioning. u2022 Performs arterial punctures to obtain blood samples for gas analysis, understanding complications and contraindications. u2022 Assesses patient needs and tolerance for treatment, reassessing responses to therapy. u2022 Formulates and evaluates teaching plans based on patient learning needs, including family involvement as appropriate.
