Eatonu2019s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a Senior OEM Sales Engineer. This is a hybrid-based position and candidates must reside within 50 miles of our Jacksonville, FL or Orlando, FL location to be considered for the position. Relocation assistance will be offered for successful applicants who live outside of these locations. What youu2019ll do: Position Overview: The primary function of the Senior OEM Sales Engineer is to market and sell Eatonu2019s products and services to obtain orders that are profitable to Eaton. The position is expected to achieve electrical components sales for distribution and controls. This will be expected in the geographic market region consistent with the expectations of seasoned sales professionals. The primary responsibility is to manage the assigned customer base, to increase sales in the local marketplace, application guidance and technical assistance to assigned customers. This position is expected to develop, grow and maintain relationships with Eaton employees, specifiers and customers, including Eaton authorized distributors. The primary functions include understanding Eatonu2019s support structure available to sales, including EatonCare; understanding Eaton proprietary systems and software including Bidmanager and VISTA; applying technical knowledge for all products that are involved with the sales assignment; comprehension of project specifications and drawings; ability to gain confidence of customers and become a trusted source of information about Eaton offerings. In this function you will: u2022 Develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements u2022 Quote projects and negotiate correct required pricing u2022 Prepare sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness u2022 Build relationships with key customers to enhance long-term business prospects u2022 Work with factories to resolve technical issues while working with customers to resolve quality issues u2022 Canvas the market to gain insight and adjust to ever changing pricing and delivery requirements u2022 Assist team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions u2022 Obtain ongoing training on both functional and technical skills Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited institution u2022 Minimum three (3) years of electrical industry sales experience u2022 Possess a valid driveru2019s license Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Skills: Position Criteria: u2022 Possess excellent communication skills u2022 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future u2022 Ability to respond to a variety of circumstances while continuing to demonstrate superior selling skills for important customer services and applications u2022 Electrical product knowledge u2022 Ability to provide technical solutions built around customer needs u2022 Skilled in time management u2022 Possess negotiating skills while understanding and using techniques needed to close orders u2022 Experience with preparing sales proposals that meet customer expectations u2022 Robust presentation & training skills u2022 Experience utilizing value-added selling techniques u2022 Strong work ethic, competitiveness, willingness to learn and adept at building relationships u2022 Experience working with Bidmanager and Vista u2022 Ability to travel up to 50% The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $101,250 - $148,500. Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
