In the Proposal Manager position, you will provide leadership or support on a variety of business development assignments, ranging from highly strategic proposals to smaller proposals and qualification statements. All members of our SPSO team are expected to be self-starters who: possess excellent oral and written communication skills; develop creative solutions to tackle challenges; are team players ready to support each other; and have a vested interest in the success of Jacobs.Key Responsibilities - Each day will present different activities and opportunities as you help position Jacobs for success in our sales efforts. Our Proposal Managers will be responsible for the following general activities:u2022 Demonstrated experience leading and supporting proposals in Design-Build (DB), and Design-Bid-Build (DDB), and Progressive-Design-Build (PDB) delivery environments.u2022 Familiarity with Operations Management & Facilities Services (OMFS) pursuits.u2022 Proven ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams (Design, Construction, Operations, and Facility Services) to produce integrated proposal content.u2022 Working knowledge of industry and client expectations for DB/DDB/PDB/OMFS proposals, including compliance requirements, editing and gathering information for project descriptions, resumes and technical approaches.u2022 Independently lead End Game coordination and preparation of proposals of all sizes, working directly with technical staff; may support large, strategic opportunities, working under the guidance of senior Sales staff.u2022 Lead and/or support planning and development of small to mid-sized presentations and interviews.u2022 With no supervision, coordinate, write, edit/tailor, and perform research for non-technical proposal sections; ensure compliance; proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate potential issues/variances.u2022 Participate in kick-off meetings and other milestone meetings, as appropriate.u2022 May participate in opportunity planning/Middle Game activities.u2022 May suggest teaming partners/subconsultants, as well as qualified Jacobs staff during kick- off/strategy sessions and organization chart development.u2022 Offer an understanding of business objectives, priorities, and sales strategy, especially as they relate to the End Game proposal process.u2022 Serve as a subject matter expert on, advocate, and actively follow SSO procedures, policies, protocols, and best practices, including standard file management and archiving procedures, as well as Branding Guidelinesu2022 Employ and populate/update (as appropriate) business development-related tools and databases.u2022 Foster strong, mutually beneficial working relationships with Operations, other SSO staff, Selling Units, and Sales Enablement teams both locally and across the network.Bring your creativity, ambitious spirit, and attention to detail, and weu2019ll help you grow, pursue, and fulfill what drives youu2015so we can deliver extraordinary solutions for a better tomorrow, together.#LI-HA1 u2022 BS/BA or equivalent.u2022 6+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent).Ideally, you'll also haveu2022 Experience in managing proposal team, monitoring progress and adherence to proposal schedule.u2022 Experience in leading a variety of business development assignments, ranging from proposals to qualification statements; support large, strategic, complex efforts under the guidance of senior SSO staff.u2022 Experience in writing and updating project descriptions/summaries, success stories, and lessons learned, as well as resumes and other documents with little no supervision.Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
