FTE: 0.900000 Standard Hours:36.00 Shift: Shift 3 Shift Details: Holidays: Weekends: Job Summary:Performs primary nursing functions of assessing, planning, directing,and evaluating patient care in the emergency department to patients ofall ages suffering from various types of illness or trauma. The RNserves as a professional role model by collaborating with clinical andfront office staff, administration and other professional disciplines toensure effective patient care is delivered to optimal patient outcomes.Other Duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 2 yearsof experience in a hospital inpatient/telemetry unit or equivalentexperience is required. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Professional knowledge ofnursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired throughcompletion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited Schoolof Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurseis required. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Requires current state of WisconsinRegistered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from aparticipating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American HeartAssociation (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS)or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 30 days of hire.American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)and American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS) is required within one year of hire. Trauma Nurse Coursecertification (TNCC) is preferred.
