FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00Shift: 4 Shift Details: Work rotating 8-hour shifts Monday throughFriday 7:30am to 6:30pm. Saturday rotation every 4 weeks 7:30am-3:30pm.No holidays. Job Summary: Coordinates the daily operations of thepharmacy technician staff at the assigned location. Acts as a dailyresource for the technicians and provides guidance regarding technicaland operational information. In addition, provides technical andclerical assistance to the pharmacist in the processing of medicationorders and the monitoring of drug therapy. May procure, measure,compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of apharmacist. Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutesand Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy PracticeSections. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred. EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate ofan accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Leadership training is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLSDESCRIPTION: Exceptional customer service skills. Proven ability tocommunicate effectively with a diverse group. Proven attention todetail. Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills. Provenleadership skills. Experience with various computer systems andprograms. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Application for Wisconsin registrationas a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtainedwithin 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician(CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam(PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) isrequired within 6 months of hire.
