Mechanical Engineer Location: New Jersey Employment Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team and support the development of highu2011quality, manufacturable products. This role collaborates closely with sales, manufacturing, and crossu2011functional teams to deliver robust engineering solutions, validate designs through analysis, and support continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SolidWorks, strong analytical capability, and handsu2011on experience with metal fabrication and product development. Key Responsibilities + Collaborate with sales and manufacturing teams to develop customeru2011focused solutions and ensure manufacturability + Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and engineering calculations to validate design performance and robustness + Participate in peer reviews to maintain high engineering standards and design quality + Engineer and detail designs using SolidWorks, manage documentation through PDM, and define production processes using ERP systems + Support manufacturing by troubleshooting production issues, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement + Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge, participating in training sessions, and mentoring junior engineers Required Skills & Qualifications + 3-7 years of experience in mechanical design with advanced proficiency in SolidWorks + Experience performing Finite Element Analysis, preferably using SolidWorks Simulation + Strong understanding of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes, including welding, machining, and heat treatment + product development engineering, from concept through production Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marlboro, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
