Tax Manager

Description We are looking for a Tax Manager to join a highly respected private equity investment firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. As a key player on the team, you will oversee critical tax processes and contribute to the firm's continued success in managing multiple funds. Responsibilities: u2022 Review and manage tax workpapers, returns, and estimates for private equity funds and partnership entities, ensuring compliance with tax regulations. u2022 Coordinate with external teams to guarantee timely and accurate tax filings, fund distributions, and partner K-1 reporting. u2022 Analyze fund legal documents and address tax-related inquiries from partners and investors. u2022 Supervise the calculation of partner withholding taxes and ensure proper documentation for compliance. u2022 Maintain oversight of tax-related projects, tracking progress and organizing necessary materials to meet deadlines. u2022 Provide exceptional service to both internal teams and external stakeholders by addressing tax-related needs promptly and professionally. u2022 Collaborate with leadership to improve tax processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals. u2022 Conduct reviews of alternative investment structures to ensure proper tax treatment and compliance. u2022 Stay informed on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide strategic guidance for the firm. u2022 Support the team in addressing complex tax issues and delivering high-quality solutions. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 6u201310 years of experience in partnership taxation within private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or similar industries. u2022 Strong preference for candidates with Big 4 accounting firm experience and private equity partnership expertise. u2022 Masteru2019s degree in Taxation and CPA certification are highly desirable. u2022 Proficiency in tax software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and familiarity with corporate tax return processes. u2022 Demonstrated knowledge of annual income tax provisions and entity formation. u2022 Ability to analyze complex financial documents and provide accurate tax reporting. u2022 Exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities effectively. u2022 Comprehensive understanding of partnership tax compliance and alternative investment structures.
