Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer- Onsite Experience: 8+ years Location: Atlanta, GA (5 days work from Office) Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future Job Summary: As a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of a global team responsible for architecting, standardizing, and deploying new infrastructure technologies including Software Defined Networking, Traffic switching, High Density Wireless architecture, and Network Security. In this position, the engineer will be working directly with corporate and internal lines of business to support growth through project-based initiatives. Consults on the use and deployment of the user productivity tools and applications, enhancing user experience and participates in process improvements. Responsibilities u00b7 Design and implement Network Infrastructure solutions (LAN, wifi, WAN) using Cisco and other vendor products to support corporate business initiatives u00b7 Duties are project work which includes integrating remote offices of acquisitions u00b7 Communication with the project team, internal customer, and remote networking groups to understand requirements for integration u00b7 Collaborate with your team to align infrastructure standards for architecture and configuration to meet corporate requirements u00b7 Participate in planning of new technologies to drive infrastructure that aligns with the strategic roadmap u00b7 Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade software and operating systems when required. u00b7 Design the system performance data collection information, analyze and evaluate. Report the health information to management. u00b7 Participate in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and connectivity problems and document problems and resolutions for future reference u00b7 Able to lead team when major support issues are encountered u00b7 Stay current with trends in IT related technologies and methods u00b7 Knowledge of IT standards and have industry certifications like ITIL Mandatory Knowledge and Skills u00b7 Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, DHCP, SNMP, etc.) u00b7 Expert knowledge of Cisco switches (latest Catalyst and Nexus), and wireless environments (latest WLCs and APs) u00b7 Expert knowledge of Meraki Switches and APu2019s u00b7 Expert knowledge in using advanced switching technologies such as VPC, VDC, HSRP, PBR, and MAC Security u00b7 Experience configuring Cisco ISE in a multi-switch model environment u00b7 Experience with Infoblox for IPAM, DNS, and DHCP u00b7 Strong skills using monitoring and infrastructure tools such as Cisco DNAC, CMX or Solarwinds u00b7 Working knowledge of SD-WAN solutions like VeloCloud, Versa, Viptela. u00b7 Excellent Communication skills at all levels of the organization with English as the primary communication language u00b7 Strong action orientation and attention to detail u00b7 CCNP Certification QUALIFICATIONS and Expectations u00b7 Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science u00b7 Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in managing a Virtual environment u00b7 Experience in supporting a Azure/GCP Public cloud is a definite advantage u00b7 Practical experience in implementing TCP/IP (v4 & v6) and LAN Technologies in a large departmental environment involving 100+ servers and replicated redundant networks u00b7 Practical experience with Firewalls, load balancers and network simulators u00b7 Systems/Network Monitoring Experience u00b7 Windows, RHELinux and associated clusters u00b7 Experience with a scripting language such as tcl, Perl, Python, and writing shell scripts Applications will be accepted until 2/16/2026 The annual salary for this position is between $73,350u2013 $116,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
