Description Burns & McDonnellu2019s regional operation in Texas is looking for an Associate Environmental Engineer to provide air permitting and compliance to the power, industrial, commercial, transportation and manufacturing industries. This position offers challenging work with significant project variety at a successful, industry-leading company and an opportunity for advancement in a growing Air & Noise practice. The Associate Environmental Air Engineer will work within our Environmental Services Global Practice and perform the following duties: + Lead the preparation air permit applications for major projects, including Title V air permits. + Ensure compliance with local, state and federal air quality requirements. + Responsible for keeping up to date with new and proposed air permitting requirements, emission estimating methods, and regulations. + Regularly meets and corresponds with clients, agency officials, or other outside personnel. Interested in international working partnerships. + This position includes some marketing responsibilities and occasional travel. + Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree from an accredited program plus minimum 13 years of applicable professional experience. + Completion of a master's degree in a related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience. + Previous consulting experience preferred. + Technical understanding of his position will require knowledge of a wide variety of complex industrial operations; some experience in refining is a plus. + Specific knowledge and ability to bring key clients preferred. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving. + Ability to establish effective working relationships with contractors, co-workers, and other professionals. + Proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Valid driver's license required. In addition, must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
