Job Description Harborview Medical Center's Nursing Support Program has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time Cardiac Monitor Technician. WORK SCHEDULE: + 90% FTE, 36 hours weekly + Night Shift DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The program provides monitoring from a central monitoring center for patients who require cardiac telemetry surveillance. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: + Conveniently located near public transportation + Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve + Opportunity to provide career growth PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: + Assist the patientu2019s care team with surveillance of cardiac monitors, including identification and communication of dysrhythmias, + Demonstrate understanding and proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring platforms (E.g., Clinical Access/Spacelabs, Phillips), EPIC software, and additional communication platforms, + Participates in departmental activities to promote effective problem solving and communication, and quality improvement, + Assist with the clerical and support activities, and other delegated tasks, to support in-patient remote telemetry units, REQUIREMENTS: + High school diploma or GED + Successful completion of a course in cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, OR, one (1) year of experience in monitor surveillance in a coronary care/telemetry unit.
