This is a temporary position for the 25/26 school year. Our Academic Model Our academic model is unique and creates a very different and exciting place to work. u00a0 We provide diverse types of learning experiences such as Socratic seminars, small group instruction, hands-on labs and collaborative student projects. Team teaching is core to our model.u00a0 All math, ELA and Spanish teachers teach in teams where they plan together and work with students in larger spaces.u00a0 Teachers in other subjects are expected to plan collaboratively and often co-teach to support our special education and ESL students.u00a0 We use technology to personalize learning and to help students make deeper connections to content.u00a0 As a result of this structure, teachers are able to better assess and meet individual student needs. The Role of the Classroom Learning Assistant A Classroom Learning Assistant serves as an advocate for the needs of the diverse learning population.u00a0 The learning assistant supports a classroom and works alongside a teacher to ensure that both the social-emotional and academic needs of each student are being met. Classroom learning assistants will receive support and coaching similar to teachers and will have the opportunity to be considered for support and tuition reimbursement to become full-time special education teachers. This person will: + Assist teacher in implementing lesson plans in au00a0classroom by providing positive learning experiences, including large or small group instruction and one-on-one support + Prepare materials and resources for use in the classroom that support studentsu2019 learning goals + Assist with the maintenance of records of student needs, instructional programs, student progress, preparation of forms, organizing and maintaining files Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree required + Spanish fluency preferred + Experience working with high school and middle school students + Substitute teaching license preferred Compensation and Benefits + $42,000- $50,000/ year based on experience + Health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield + Dental, vision, short and long term disability + 401K/pension with employer match + Mental Health benefits Equal Opportunity Employer Intrinsic Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
