Responsibilities & Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Clearance Top Secret u2013 IT-I (Tier 5/SSBI) Critical Sensitive Clearance Experience + Ten (10) years of telecommunications experience, with at least eight (8) years focused on local area network (LAN) and/or wide area network (WAN) environments. + Demonstrated experience managing complex telecommunications applications across all phases of network design, implementation, and analysis. + Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage large-scale telecommunications projects. Certifications + F5 Certified Administrator/Certified Technical Specialist/Certified Solution Expert Certification + DoD 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification: + Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA-Security) + COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) + Certified Network Defender (CND) + COMPTIA Security+ CE + Professional (GICSP) + Computing Environment Certification (one of the following): + Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) + Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert - Enterprise Infrastructure (CCIE- EI) + Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert - Enterprise Wireless (CCIE-EW) + Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) + Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise (CCNP E) + Check Point Certified Systems Administrator (CCSA) + Check Point Certified Security Principles Associate (CCSPA) + Check Point Certified Systems Engineer (CCSE) + Check Point Certified Systems Master (CCSM) + Sun Certified Network Administrator (SCNA) RESPONSIBILITIES + Performs and manages all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis for complex applications. + Analyze, design, develop, and manage telecommunications networks supporting a wide range of capabilities, including voice, data, video, and wireless services. + Independently perform, or work under only general direction, on moderately to highly complex requirements involving network analysis, planning, programming, and implementation. + Design and analyze voice networks, WAN and LAN data networks, wireless networks, and network management systems to support enterprise communications services. + Develop network designs and implementation plans covering the full lifecycle of telecommunications systems, from project inception through installation, operation, and maintenance. + Analyze data transport requirements and system characteristics to define technical problems, develop system requirements, and produce detailed network specifications. + Coordinate closely with other information systems professionals to ensure effective and secure implementation of network services. + Collaborate with functional users to develop alternative technical solutions and backup/contingency plans. + Manage complex telecommunications projects involving all phases of network design, implementation, and operational analysis. + Lead and manage the evaluation and cost estimation of voice and data WAN services from telecommunications carriers. + Design access and backbone networks utilizing carrier-provided services or managing the design and analysis of wireless voice/data networks using private radio facilities or commercial services. + Provide technical and administrative direction to personnel responsible for telecommunications network design, implementation, and operations. + Review work products for technical accuracy, adherence to design standards, and compliance with schedules and user requirements. + Prepare and deliver milestone status reports, briefings, and presentations on network progress to stakeholders, leadership, and end users. + Make recommendations, as required, for approval of major network installations or architectural changes.
