150463BRTitle:GSOC Dispatch Specialist-On CallJob Description: GardaWorld Security Services is Now Hiring a GSOC On Call Dispatch Officer Ready to suit up as a GSOC On Call Dispatch Officer? As a On Call Dispatch Officer, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc. Whatu2019s in it for you: + Site Location: Richmond, VA + Set schedule: Full-Time 40 Hours A Week, Days & Shifts are TBA currently + Competitive hourly wage of $27.00/Hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees) + A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, paid time off (PTO) policy, paid holidays, disability coverage, and life insurance options + Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld + Uniform provided at no cost ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned + SRO's will be assigned to train at 3 locations extending across the Greater Richmond area. + Shifts of 8 u2013 12 hours + Must be able to accept last-minute assignments due to call-offs or No Call No Shows + Handle calls for service; intake of media and emergency calls + Complete daily reporting; incident Report input and approval + Notification elevation, upon approval; mass notification/Everbridge + Conduct travel security reviews + Red Tag/Hot Works reporting + Ensure timely and effective response to incidents, alarms, notifications, calls, and other activities related to the Security Operations Center and its role as a central alarm monitoring station + Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring and radio systems + Process and evaluate information received from all available sources, and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures + Coordinate with Security Operations Center staff to provide necessary documentation in support of uniformed guard force activity (e.g., Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting, etc.) BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required: + Must pass a skills-based assessment called u201cCriticallu201d, which is administered after successful completion of the interview process. + Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment Type and Length of Specific Experience Required: + Work experience must include of the following: + Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to prepare reports + Ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approaches to problem solving + Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks) + Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals + Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors + Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment while possibly working under pressure Knowledge and Skills Required: + Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications + Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency + Effective oral and written communication + Planning and organizing + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications + Problem solving + Active listening + Assess and evaluate situations effectively + Synthesize facts, concepts, principles + Identify critical issues quickly and accurately + Compile, sort, and interpret data + Research, investigate, compile information + Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy + Write informatively, clearly, and accurately + Advanced Creativity + Multi-tasking + Setting and achieving goals + Logical/linear thinking + Attention to detail + Choosing from/among alternatives OTHER RELATED ATTRIBUTES THAT WOULD ENHANCE HIRING CONSIDERATION: These are other criteria that may enhance the hiring decision but would not rule out the candidate for consideration if not present. + Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Communications, or related field + Verifiable and successful security experience + Professional training and/or education in one or more of the following: + Customer service + Dispatch operations + Security and/or emergency services + Documented experience and competency in the following Security Software Systems: + Access Control/ID systems (e.g., ProWatch) + Alarm Receiving Automation software (e.g., Onyx Works) + Incident Management and computer assisted dispatch software + CCTV/Video Management systems (e.g., MaxPro) + Mass Notification systems (specifically, Everbridge) + Business Intelligence and Travel Tracking (e.g., iJet and NC4) + Experience in a modern 911 Call Center, Central Station Alarm Monitoring, or Dispatch Operation, Technical Security Control Room, or similar environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT: + Environment: Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected + Major activity: Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting + Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching + Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law + Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions If you want a real career opportunity where youu2019re part of a dynamic supportive team thatu2019s dedicated to your success, check us out.
