Job Title: Prepared Foods CookJob Type: Full-Time (30--34 hours/week)Location: Weavers Way Co-op -- GermantownOverviewWeavers Way Co-op is a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative dedicated to a triple bottom line of People, Planet, and Profit. We prioritize sustainability, local sourcing, and community well-being, supporting over 300 local food vendors.We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and team-oriented Prepared Foods Cook to join our Germantown location. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, a passion for customer service, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.What You'll Do- Prepare items from our daily production list using provided recipes- Pre-wrap and label products for sale- Keep the kitchen clean and up to sanitation standards- Pitch in with weekend shifts as needed- Follow all Weavers Way policies and procedures- Attend team meetings and all-staff gatherings- Help with quarterly inventory counts- Read the day book and other updates at the start of each shift- Take on other duties as assigned by Kitchen ManagementRequirements- A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op.- Prior experience in restaurant or commercial kitchens is required.- Proficient knife skills.- Volume cooking experience is a plus.- Solid knowledge of food safety practices.- A team player with great communication skills.- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when needed.- Ability to remain standing for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours.- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.- A genuine passion for food and current culinary trends.- Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.Salary Description$16.50 per hourPhila.BSTu00a0u00a0
