Job Posting Title Sr. IT Software Engineer - Pega Job Description The Sr. IT Software Engineer is a key technical leader within the Medical Pharmacy team, responsible for designing, developing, and supporting technology solutions that power Primeu2019s Medical Pharmacy programs. This role emphasizes strong software engineering fundamentals, ownership of code quality, adherence to best practices, and handsu2011on support of production workflows. The Sr Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining system stability, leading technical designs, mentoring others, and ensuring our applications remain resilient, secure, and scalable. Responsibilities + Lead technical design efforts to ensure Med Pharm solutions meet all resiliency, stability, performance, security, and operational readiness standards + Own and maintain code for Medical Pharmacy applications, ensuring alignment with established engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines + Provide ongoing development, enhancement, and support for existing workflows, integrations, and application components + Actively support production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and root-cause analysis, ensuring system reliability and timely resolution + Mentor and influence other engineers by offering technical guidance, reviewing code, and modeling strong engineering discipline + Collaborate with Product, QA, Architecture, Security, and Medical Pharmacy operations to support solution designs and ensure cohesive end-to-end workflows + Partner with team leadership to identify SMEs, support staffing needs, and provide input for performance feedback + Drive continuous improvement in development practices, automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency + Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required + 5 years of experience with application development or package software implementation + Ability to manage work direction and lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to others within team + Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship Additional Qualifications + Certified Pega Senior System Architect (CSSA) + Strong communicator capable of presenting technical and nonu2011technical concepts to diverse audiences + Ability to translate business or operational requirements into stable, supportable software designs + Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs, propose solutions, and provide objective recommendations + Strong analytical and problemu2011solving abilities + Demonstrated decisiveness and sound engineering judgment + Ability to drive innovation within the engineering discipline + Excellent documentation habits Preferred Qualifications + Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, etc.) + Experience operating in an Agile / Product Delivery model + PBM, healthcare, or Medical Pharmacy domain experience + Understanding of security considerations in healthcare and datau2011centric applications + Comfortable leading, mentoring, and guiding other engineers + Constellation or experience with latest Pega versions (24-25) Every employee must understand, comply with and attest to the security responsibilities and security controls unique to their job, and comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements and internal policies and procedures Every employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and, if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions, absent undue hardship.
