PositionOverview The Maintenance Recycling Processing Specialist (MRPS) willprimarily process recyclable materials through the BioSAFE or STImachine at 320 Holtzman Rd, along with driving a 26' straight truck topick up full bins and deliver empty bins to 650 Forward Dr and 145 E.Badger Ln. The MRPS will assist Maintenance Technicians (MT) and SeniorMaintenance Technicians (SMT) in general repairs and preventivemaintenance of the BioSAFE machine. The MRPS will also be trained toprovide support to help maintain building support systems (e.g.,equipment including facility-related mechanical and electrical equipmentlocated within office and laboratory locations). Shifts Available:Tues-Sat, 4pm-12:30am CT Sun-Thurs, 12am-8:30am CT Essential DutiesInclude but are not limited to the following: Communicate facility andsafety-related issues from daily operations to the Facilities Managementto coordinate with internal customers, property owners, and outsidevendors. Assist the team in managing spare parts for equipment andsupplies to minimize equipment downtime. Provide assistance insupporting the facility and utility systems, including, but not limitedto, electrical distribution, plumbing, HVAC, and compressed air systems.Enter, prioritize, and complete work orders in a computer databasesystem. Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance(CM) tasks with proper documentation and closure. Conduct daily, weekly,and monthly building inspections to assess the current operationalcondition, document findings, and take appropriate follow-up actionfollowing applicable procedures. React to loss of electrical power andother utility outages and assist in restoration efforts followingweather-related events. Monitor and respond to equipment and facilitysystem alarms with the ability to follow proper written procedures.Ensure material support for lab teams by delivering materials tointernal cross-campus locations.
