Job Requisition ID # 26WD94901 Position Overview As anAI for AEC Research InternwithinAutodesk Research, you will play a pivotal role in envisioning and prototypingcollaborative, multi-agent AI workflowsgrounded in real-world AEC project constraints and design goals. You will work alongside an applied research team with deep expertise inarchitecture, construction, and computer science. In this role, you will develop experimental AI prototypes, explore novel design-decision workflows, and help shape future software capabilities. You will also have opportunities topresent and publishyour work, influencing both internal research directions and the broader AEC + AI community. Responsibilities u00b7 Develop and evaluate areal-world AEC design use case, supporting design decisions through a collaborative, multi-agent AI workflow. u00b7 Iteratively prototype, test, and refine AI-driven workflows, documenting both successes and failures. u00b7 Build and maintaincode repositories, along with clear documentation and compelling visual outputs. u00b7 Identify and definenew use casesand assess industry applicability of developed solutions. u00b7 Communicate research outcomes through internal presentations at the conclusion of the internship. u00b7 Contribute to or lead the preparation of apeer-reviewed publicationfor an external AI and/or AEC conference. Minimum Qualifications u00b7 Currently enrolled in a full-timeMasteru2019s or Ph.D. programin AI, Computer Science, Architecture, or a related field, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later. u00b7 Experience with AEC design workflows and design decision-making processes involving competing metrics and trade-offs. u00b7 Experience developing AI-driven workflows that coordinate multiple reasoning steps or agents to support complex design decisions, simulations, or data-driven processes in the AEC domain. u00b7 Proficiency inPython, including experience integrating AI workflows with AEC or 3D modeling software. Preferred Qualifications u00b7 Experience withagentic AI frameworks(e.g., LangGraph, LangChain, or similar). u00b7 Familiarity withAEC design phases, deliverables, and interdisciplinary collaboration. u00b7 Experience orchestratingcomplex, automated design workflows. u00b7 Experience withdata analysis and visualization. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to writeclear, well-structured technical documentation or research material. Offers are based on the candidateu2019s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.
