Production Assembler Job Description Join our team in the manufacturing and assembly of Industrial Power Systems within a heavy-industrial manufacturing facility. As an assembler, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of systems, working primarily with sheet metal and metal enclosures. Your role involves using hand and power tools such as drills, tape measures, screwdrivers, wrenches, and impact tools to assemble units based on blueprints. You will work collaboratively in teams and engage in physical activities such as standing, stooping, and bending throughout the day. Responsibilities + Perform mechanical assembly of industrial power systems. + Work with sheet metal to assemble metal enclosures. + Use hand and power tools including drills, tape measures, screwdrivers, and wrenches. + Assemble units according to blueprints in collaboration with team members. + Stand, stoop, and bend to access various assembly parts of the units. + Conduct some assembly work inside units that are approximately 8 ft. tall. Essential Skills + Experience with production work and manufacturing assembly. + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Capability to read a tape measure accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous manufacturing assembly experience is preferred. + Blueprint reading is an advantage. + Must be able to stand for the entire shift. + Ability to lift 50+ pounds and maneuver sheet metal. Work Environment The work takes place in a large, open bay production facility with multiple work stations. The production floor is not climate controlled, but industrial-sized ceiling fans help circulate the air. Safety is a priority, with all contractors required to wear safety shoes, glasses, and earplugs when necessary. The environment is louder due to the presence of CNC machinery and other manufacturing equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
