Light of Christ Catholic Schools is accepting applications for an Events Coordinator to support community engagement and mission-driven activities at LOC.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:- Plan, organize and execute events for alumni, donors, LOC families, students and the overall community to foster engagement, including but not limited to: LOC fall raffle, St. Mary's Carnival, live auction and social, Annual Appreciation Mass and Social, Giving Hearts Day, Mug Club events, Saints Ball, Hall of Fame, etc.- Recruit and direct volunteers to support events and other fundraising activities.- Coordinates community relations activities to promote LOC and MA activities.- Builds strong lifelong relationships with alumni, donors and the community through personalized engagement and communication.- Solicits and works with MA Officers to secure sponsorships, auction items, and prizes.- Manages event coordination, budgets, vendor relationships, contract negotiation, and event marketing to ensure the event meets the established goal and provides a positive experience for all attendees.- T rack event budget to ensure the event stays within the allocated financial limits.- On-site execution of events. Manage event activities on the day of the event from set-up to clean-up.- Manage reunion requests and act as an LOC representative to class representatives.- Work with Mission Advancement (MA) to ensure LOC staff is present at reunions and offering ways to engage all alumni.- Update and add content to alumni social media accounts.- Create in partnership with Marketing a wide variety of documents (e.g., promotional materials, press releases, annual report, etc.), for the purpose of documenting activities and issues, conveying information, meeting compliance requirements, and/or providing supporting materials.- Assists MA in increasing the donor base by electronic messaging, phone calls, in-person interviews, assisting with hosting and attending special events and school sponsored events, and any other reasonable avenues.- Assists in creating leads for MA Officers.- Promotes good will and positive relationships with LOC staff, donors, and the community.- Meet goals as assigned.- Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelors degree, prefer major course work in business, marketing, public relations, communications or other job-related field.Prefer one or more years of related experience.Strong computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel.Strong human relations skills. Able to communicate clearly and concisely with a variety of people, both orally and in writing.
