A key member of our Strategic Pursuits Sales Operations (SPSO) team, the Major Pursuits Senior Proposal Manageru2019s primary responsibility is providing leadership and support on highly strategic, complex, must-win opportunities in North America. The ideal candidate is adept at communicating with senior leadership, is organized and accountable, and demonstrates responsibility for meeting deadlines and following through on commitments. All members of our SPSO team are expected to be self-starters who possess excellent oral and written communication skills; develop creative solutions to tackle challenges; are team players ready to support each other; and have a vested interest in Jacobsu2019 success.Our Senior Proposal Managers are responsible for the following general activities:u2022 Often in partnership with account, opportunity, and technical teams, lead the preparation and coordination of highly strategic, must-win proposals, and provide direction to coordinators, graphic designers, document publishers, writers/editors, and other support staff.u2022 Directly support the opportunity teamu2019s leadership to refine and integrate pursuit strategy/win themes in proposal documents.u2022 Provide heavy support to and/or take ownership of sections of major pursuits and strategic opportunities working in conjunction with senior sales staff.u2022 With no supervision, coordinate, write, edit/tailor, and perform research for non-technical proposal sections; ensure compliance; and proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate potential issues/variances.u2022 Lead kick-off meetings, color review meetings, and other milestone meetings, as appropriate.u2022 Participate in opportunity planning/Middle-Game activities.u2022 Work with the opportunity teamu2019s leadership to suggest teaming partners/subconsultants and qualified Jacobs. staff during kick-off/strategy sessions and organization chart development.u2022 Serve as a subject matter expert, advocate, and actively follow SPSO procedures, policies, protocols, and best practices, including standard file management and archiving procedures, as well as branding guidelines.u2022 Lead and/or support planning and development of presentations and interviews.u2022 Understand company markets, partner/competitor/subconsultant firms, clients, and industry trends.u2022 May act as a group resource and trainer for sales best practices, policies, and procedures.Bring your creativity, ambitious spirit, and attention to detail, and weu2019ll help you grow, pursue, and fulfill what drives youu2015so we can deliver extraordinary solutions for a better tomorrow, together.#LI-HA1 u2022 Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business, marketing, communication, technical, or other related fieldu2022 At least 10 years of experience in proposal management/coordination, ideally in the architecture, environmental, and/or construction industriesu2022 Proven leadership, management, and organizational skills for directing, delegating, and overseeing proposal team members and their contributionsu2022 Capability to negotiate with and influence othersu2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentu2022 Ability to travelu2022 Fluency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
