Senior Traffic Engineer/Project Manager

Are we the road to your future?We are currently searching for a Senior Traffic Engineer/Project Manager to support our growing Traffic Engineering Department in the Mid-Atlantic regional offices located in Camp Hill, PA, Pittsburgh, PA or Charleston, WV.The candidate will serve as a Project Manager for the successful delivery of traffic engineering projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary team and lead various tasks on roadway improvements, intersection modifications, complete streets and multimodal safety projects.The candidate will serve as primary point of contact for clients, subconsultants and internal team and will develop, maintain and implement the project goals, schedules and deliverables.The candidate will also support Capital Improvement/Mega Projects in PA, WV and other regions. The successful candidate will work on challenging transportation projects providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with locality and state DOT standards.This position offers an excellent career opportunity with tremendous growth potential.To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent.What you'll be doing:Manage and oversee traffic engineering tasks involving various intersection safety and multimodal improvements as well as large infrastructure projectsServe as technical lead for tasks involving traffic modeling and simulation, traffic design, signal timing optimization and safety/operational analysisConduct traffic analyses in support of interchange, corridor improvement studiesPrepare and review technical reports for traffic studies, interchange access requests, and safety studiesPrepare and review traffic signal design plans for new intersections and signal modifications to facilitate multimodal accommodationsLead development of traffic management plan (TMP), signing and pavement marking plans, ITS planning and designCollaborate with diverse team of professionals including engineers, planners and landscape architectsAttend project meetings with clientsLead and manage task ordersAssist in developing scope and fee proposals, presentations, and reportsProvide mentorship to other team membersWhat you need to have:BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent8 - 15+ years of traffic engineering experiencePE is required, PTOE is preferredProficiency with CADD program as well as safety standards and toolsProficiency in traffic analyses software such as VISSIM, Synchro/Simtraffic, Sidra IntersectionFamiliarity with PennDOT, PTC, WVDOH and locality standards, MUTCD and AASHTOSelf-starter and capable of completing tasks with minimal oversightAttention to details and quality driven approachAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
