Accounting Assistant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This contract-to-permanent position involves managing financial tasks related to loan fundings, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting operations and excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities: u2022 Review loan files to ensure all required documents have been received for each transaction. u2022 Verify submitted data against supporting documents to confirm accuracy. u2022 Perform fraud checks and other required processes for bank transactions. u2022 Obtain counter-signatures from designated officers for approvals. u2022 Ensure timely transmission of wire transfers as required. u2022 Provide support for collateral specialist functions when necessary. u2022 Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies through proper documentation and training. u2022 Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries and provide updates on loan fundings. u2022 Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution of daily accounting activities. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in accounting software systems. u2022 Familiarity with Concur and other expense management tools. u2022 Solid understanding of accounting functions, including entries and reconciliations. u2022 Experience with bank reconciliations and data entry processes. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to verify data accuracy. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Effective communication skills for customer and team interactions. u2022 Knowledge of compliance requirements related to accounting operations.
