Whatu2019s the role? BNEF is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead our West Coast commercial team, responsible for managing and growing a diverse portfolio of clients across Western US and Canada. The team develops new business opportunities and originates new client relationships across hyperscalers, corporations, financial institutions, and government agencies, while renewing and expanding existing client partnerships. In this role, you will define and execute the regional go-to-market strategy for the region, working closely with senior management to design and implement sales and marketing initiatives aligned with BNEFu2019s growth priorities. You will drive strategic innovation and cross-functional collaboration that leads to sustainable business growth and differentiated client solutions. Your ultimate objective is to expand adoption of BNEF products and services across existing and prospective clients, deepen customer engagement and reliance, and consistently exceed commercial targets. As a people manager, your core responsibility will be to develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing and diverse sales organization, supporting long-term career growth and team success. Weu2019ll trust you to: - Lead the team to achieve and exceed sales targets through new business development, while managing, renewing, and expanding a book of client portfolios - Foster a positive, inclusive team culture and proactively develop, retain, and grow top talent - Establish and advance strategic partnerships that drive meaningful commercial growth across the Americas - Expand BNEFu2019s market presence and sector penetration in key North American industries and financial markets - Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies and marketing initiatives to increase BNEF brand visibility and impact - Collaborate closely with colleagues across product, research, marketing, and global commercial teams to grow and deepen client relationships - Provide structured and actionable feedback to product and analysis teams based on evolving client needs - Ensure a healthy, sustainable sales pipeline through disciplined execution of sales processes and high team productivity - Engage in senior-level strategic discussions with key internal and external stakeholders - Demonstrate strong passion for, and understanding of, the critical role energy plays in North America's economy. Youu2019ll need to have: - A minimum of 8 years of client-facing experience in the energy power or financial services industries - Proven experience selling to institutional clients and engaging with C-suite and senior decision-makers, gained within the past 5 years - Prior experience leading, mentoring, and developing others in a commercial or client-facing environment - Experience selling solutions or consultative services related to energy, industry, or digital infrastructure - A strong track record of building long-term industry relationships and senior executive engagement across North America - Excellent attention to detail, operational discipline, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating across teams - A demonstrated commitment to people leadership, with strong emotional intelligence and self-awareness - Exceptional presentation and communication skills in English - Evidence of continuous career progression within an organization - A Bacheloru2019s degree or equivalent professional qualifications If this sounds like you: - Apply if you think weu2019re a good match. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
