SummaryJob Description:Surgical Tech-ORFull Time I First ShiftOperating Room I Lexington, KY$15,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals.Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.Description Surgical Tech-OR:- Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direction of the registered nurse. Performs scrub functions and other roles, which support the perioperative plan of care Demonstrates knowledge of operative procedures.- Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes principles of aseptic technique including but not limited to gowning, gloving sterilization, and disinfection.- Actively participates in unit activities.- Ensures positive customer relations interactions.- On call weekends, weeknights, and holidays by rotation.Requirements Surgical Tech-OR:- Technical Diploma; Associate degree. (Surgical Tech Program)- Completion of a Surgical Technology program.- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
