We are dedicated to adding significant value through the data we provide for our clients and the communities we serve.The Surveying & Geomatics team is seeking a Survey Group Leader in Bellevue, this position your primary focus will be managing survey crews and office staff in performing control, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveying services related to transportation projects. DEA is dedicated to a revenue generating survey business line, utilizing cutting edge technology that allows us to be a leader in terrestrial, GPS, 3D laser scanning and hydrographic surveying.What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:Group Leader responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Delivery of technical work by the Bellevue Survey teamEnsuring project managers have the technical resources needed to deliver projects successfullyServe as project manager or task leader when neededLearning and implementing client standards and expectationsIdentifying incremental and/or new business development opportunitiesProvide inputs for scope, schedule, etc. on projects and reviewing cost proposalsAccountable for performance management for group members and applicable administration approvals such as time off, timecards, expense reports, and trainingRecruitment and retention of staffProject Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Ensure excellence in project execution for on-time, on-budget deliverables of quality that meet or exceed the industry's standard of careWorking with the Regional Transportation and Land Development Group and Delivery Leaders to ensure office resources are available to complete existing project work as well as work committed to in proposalsProvide design leadership and guidance to staff. Review engineering documents and deliverables for compliance with contractual and professional requirements as part of DEA's Quality Management requirementsAdhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting (set up, budgeting, etc.), contracting, and quality requirements.Writing proposals, developing and managing project budgets and schedulesWhat You BringRequired Qualifications:Professional Land Surveyor license in the United StatesCapable of managing projects, communicating well with clients and mentoring junior level staff members8+ years of experience in the land survey fieldStrong computer skills with CAD and Land Surveying software, such as: Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Inroads, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred Qualifications:Professional Land Surveyor license in WashingtonFamiliarity with state and county mapping requirementsWhat We Offer?We foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
