Job Description This position provides leadership in the organization and Project or functional area and is primarily engaged in planning and operational activities that establish the direction of a department, function, or project. The position requires the application of knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the Project, organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs. This position requires strategic thinking and action, considering all available facts and data, as well as considering alternative courses of action, resources, constraints, and company values. Work is performed in the home office and field locations for projects ranging in duration from short term to long term. Basic Job Requirements u2022 Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and fourteen (14) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eighteen (18) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders u2022 Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job u2022 Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines u2022 Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Other Job Requirements u2022 Perform project logistics execution u2022 Develop and implement logistics strategy u2022 Execute complex logistically challenging capital projects and ensure successful execution associated with the logistics component of the project(s) u2022 Perform activities associated with lump sum and cost reimbursable capital projects u2022 Apply knowledge pertaining to global commerce and trade, as well as global trade compliance standards u2022 Develop high level logistics strategies for complex capital projects u2022 Prepare complex logistics plans and associated logistics budgets (cost and hours) for large size projects u2022 Execute complex logistics plans u2022 Management and oversight of 3 rd party logistics providers u2022 Develop complex scopes for logistics contracts (i.e., logistics surveys, transportation, freight forwarding, export packing, customs clearance, etc.) u2022 Analyze situations, identify and forecast problems, evaluate options, and implement appropriate actions. Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively to meet critical deadlines. u2022 May need to travel to attend to business related matters u2022 Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications u2022 Management degree in Logistics Management / International Trade / Import Export, and should have at least 15 years of experience in handling project logistics with EPC companies u2022 Ability to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak) u2022 Good interpersonal and communication skills u2022 Good computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs u2022 Good leadership and decision-making skills u2022 Fluor Logistics Operational experience strongly preferred u2022 Experience in Capital Project Logistics specific to Mining and Metals u2022 Knowledge and understanding of International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS) u2022 Knowledge of Import/Export compliance u2022 Understanding of all modes of transportation (ocean, air, land,) u2022 Ability to coordinate domestic and international shipments u2022 Proficiency in Chartering and Domestic freight management u2022 Awareness of interfacing disciplines, including Procurement, Contracting, Construction u2022 Knowledge of Transportation of Heavy Lifts/ ODC consignments, conduct route survey u2022 Strong relationship with Logistics service providers #LI-PD1 We are an equal opportunity employer. Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidateu2019s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
