Packaging Machine Operator

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities: Hand feed packages into thepackaging machine. Read and understand job order description todetermine job set-up. Setup entire machine properly and efficiently tomatch order specifications. Understand and perform adjustments tominimize wear/damage. Strive to safely run machine at or above targetproduction levels on a consistent basis. Troubleshoot problems andmalfunctions that are within your capability. Recognize when help fromthe Supervisor or Maintenance is needed and seek assistance accordingly.Monitor quality on a regular basis and check both sides for defects.Take corrective action as needed to meet quality expectations. Make surecorrect package label is used for each customer. Work in a safe manner.Observe all machinery safety guidelines. Report any safety issues to theFloor Supervisor. Run machine; observe operation and functions, checkingfor proper operation and worn or broken parts. Oil and grease machineper lubrication schedule. OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or generaleducation degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/ortraining; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
