Welder/Fabricator

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Welder/Fabricator position with our fabrication shop, Madden Fabrication, located in NW Portland. The person in this position will be working on several projects utilizing blueprints and welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The ideal candidate will have strong fitting skills and both fluxcore and TIG welding skills.PAY: $30-$36/hr DOEu00a0Schedule: Monday- Thursdayu00a0 7am-5:30pmu00a0Welder/Fabricator Responsibilities:u2022Fluxcore and hardwire MIG for other structural steel projects.u2022Fit and fabricate from prints.u2022TIG welding valve gate and other specialty projects.u2022Work on structural steel columns, beams, stairs, canopies, embeds, access ladders, handrails, grab bars and much more.Welder/Fabricator Qualifications:u2022Able to read blueprints.u2022Wirefeed MIG skills.u2022Fit and Fabrication skills required.u2022TIG welding skills.u2022Wirefeed MIG skills.u2022Strong ability to self-manage.u2022Must have proper tools to accomplish jobs.u2022Forklift and overhead crane operation experience.u2022Ability to read a tape measure and other layout tools proficiently.u2022Driver's License and insurable to operate a company vehicle for ship needs.u2022Pass a drug screen.u2022Must be willing to be clean shaven for a respirator fit pensation:u2022$30-36/hru2022Medical / Dental/ Visionu2022Paid Holidaysu2022Paid Time Offu2022401(k) with match
