Mary Bridge Children's multi-disciplinary approach to care includes pediatric experts for emergency services, inpatient care, and outpatient specialty clinics, all specializing in kids and their unique needs.FTE: 1.0 Shift: Days Schedule: 07:00-15:30, Monday - FridayPosition SummaryThe OR Control Desk Specialist is responsible for the flow of information in and out of the Control Desk area, to include communication by phone and intercom intra and inter departmentally, message handling, use of the ORSOS computer system for data retrieval and scheduling, maintaining statistics, and patient check in. This is an intermediate clerical position working as a team member in the management of surgical cases. Work situations are varied and can be highly stressful requiring and service-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management throughout MHS.
