JOB REQUIREMENTS: Brown County is seeking energetic, responsible, andenthusiastic individuals to serve as ADVENTURE PARK SUMMER CAMP GUIDE atthe NEW Zoo Adventure Park in Suamico, WI. This position plays a keyleadership role in delivering safe, engaging, and educational summercamp experiences for youth while also supporting daily Adventure Parkoperations. The Adventure Park features a ropes challenge course, dualracing 1,000-foot zip lines, a 32-foot climbing wall, a kids' course,and The Neil Anderson Canopy Tour. As a Summer Camp Guide, you willsupervise and guide campers through adventure-based activities, fosterteamwork and confidence, and serve as a positive role model. Inaddition, you will assist with guest services and guidingresponsibilities for the general public as needed. Bring your passionfor outdoor adventure, youth leadership, and teamwork to help creatememorable experiences for campers and park guests alike. EssentialDuties Summer Camp Leadership: Lead and supervise summer campparticipants, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and fun environment.Facilitate adventure-based activities and age-appropriate programmingthat promote teamwork, confidence, and personal growth. Serve as apositive role model and mentor for campers. Assist with planning,organizing, and implementing daily camp schedules and activities. Managecamper behavior using positive guidance techniques. Communicateeffectively with campers, parents/guardians, and staff regarding dailyactivities and expectations. Respond appropriately to emergencies orbehavioral concerns following established procedures. Adventure ParkGuiding & Operations: Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for allAdventure Park guests, prioritizing safety at all times. Guide visitorsthrough Adventure Park activities, providing clear instructions andencouragement. Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, both inperson and over the phone. Sell admissions, concessions, andmerchandise. Handle cash transactions and perform basic math. Facilitateequipment rentals and proper fitting of safety gear. Set up, inspect,and take down course equipment. Assist with grounds maintenance,cleaning, and general park upkeep as needed. Maintain positive andprofessional working relationships with co-workers, campers, and plete required records and reports as directed by a supervisor.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends,holidays, and extended summer camp days. Capable of working in adverseoutdoor conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to remainactive for an entire 8-hour shift, including standing, walking,climbing, and assisting participants. HOURS: Summer Camp Guides shouldexpect to work various shifts as needed, including nights, holidays, andweekends. The position can be physically demanding, requiring longworkdays. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Energetic,enthusiastic, and positive attitude. Strong leadership and communicationskills, especially when working with youth. Ability to manage groups ofchildren in an active outdoor environment. Ability to wear a full-bodyharness and participate in physically demanding activities. Willingnessand ability to learn and apply technical skills related to AdventurePark operations. Professional demeanor and behavior at all fortable handling cash and performing basic math.
