Machinist - Level 2 (2nd or 3rd shift)

Complex components include nickel base, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steels with parts ranging in size from 2” OD - 120” OD.This position may support 1st shift (4:15am - 12:45pm, M - F), 2nd shift (12:15pm - 8:45pm, M - F), 3rd shift (8:15pm - 4:45am, Su - Th) operations, or a split shift depending on business needs. The selected individual will train on 1st shift for approximately 3 months, or until able to demonstrate an ability to perform the job with minimal intervention. Shift premiums will apply upon schedule change if applicable.Position Summary:The Level 2 Machinist operates multiple 2-5 axis CNC lathe machines simultaneously, which requires machine setup including preparing and setting up fixtures and cutting tools, loading and adjusting CNC programs and offsets, performing inspections and basic preventative machine maintenance such as coolant and lube levels and area cleanliness. Competencies include the ability to use more advanced quality inspection tools and techniques.
