Operates and maintains our Plant work areas and equipment in outstanding condition and provides the highest quality products possible.Key AccountabilitiesStrong Planning SkillsUnderstands and stays in sync with Contractor assurance Program (CAP)Performs daily duties according to the Job Description and QSI Procedures for work assigned.Experienced with preventative maintenance systemsExperienced in operating and maintaining production equipmentAbility to operate, set-up, test, and adjust equipment after installations and breakdown conditionsDocument all maintenance in the maintenance tracking systemAssures transfer of critical operational information that occurred during the shift to the other team members, the Shift Facilitator, and the next shift.Makes routine decisions vital to operate equipment as defined by Plant policies and procedures.Minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate, and solve problems in a timely manner, and find opportunities for improvementProvide function expertise for new projects, equipment, modifications/installations, and material modificationsWork with suppliers/OEM to assist in problem solving and implementation of innovations/upgradesProvide input for innovation plant equipment and systemsProvide specialist support to the shift-based teams during operations including off-shift support as necessaryFollows all HSS&E and Environmental policies and practicesEducationSecondary education a plus. Must be willing to continue personal development training as required.Crucial ExperienceMust have an up‑to‑date TWIC cardAble to demonstrate effective use of computer programs (e.g., email, data entry, document review)Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentBackground as an Electrician, Entry‑Level Engineer, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or experience applying Mechanical Engineering principlesExperience working with high‑speed production equipment, warehousing, shipping, or industrial processes (e.g., blending, polymer operations)Strong interpersonal communication skillsAble to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to clearly communicate ideas, concepts, and issues in both verbal and written formatsDemonstrated interpersonal effectiveness, including active listening and valuing diverse perspectivesAbility to work a flexible scheduleStrong multitasking skills and sound judgment, with the ability to understand business needs and recommend practical solutionsConsidering Joining bp?At bp, we support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and exciting environment.
