Rework CNC Machinist

Our client, a precision machining and manufacturing organization, is seeking a CNC Machinistto join their team. As a CNC Machinist/Programmer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department, supporting production machining operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and solid problem‑solving skills to thrive in this role. Job Title:CNC Machinist Location:Lafayette, IN Pay Range:$29.40 -$34.50 What’s the Job? Program, set up, and operate CNC/Manual mills, lathes, and multi‑axis machines. Create, modify, and optimize CNC/Manual programs using G‑code and CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM). Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, MOPs, and acceptance criteria to determine machining operations. Select proper tooling/fixturing, perform first‑piece and in‑process inspections, and troubleshoot machining/programming issues. Document setups and program revisions while maintaining a safe, clean work area and collaborating with engineers and machinists to improve workflow. What’s Needed? 3+ years of CNC/Manual machining experience, including setup and programming. Proficiency in G‑code and CAM software. Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T.
