Nurses build confidence, sharpen clinical judgment, and expand their scope of practice every shift while caring for patients with conditions such as kidney and liver failure, sepsis, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, cardiac and respiratory illness, complex infections, and post-operative complications. This is a unit that welcomes learners, values questions, and embraces collaboration and shared problem solving.Nurses partner daily with Hospital Medicine physicians and teams such as Respiratory Care, Wound Care, Vascular Access, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology.
