Threat Investigation Analyst

The Threat Investigation Analyst is a key member of the Threat Operations Team and serves as a first responder to cybersecurity incidents. This role is responsible for triaging, investigating, and responding to security alerts to protect customer environments. Analysts evaluate real-world logs, network traffic, and security artifacts to determine malicious versus benign activity and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position may be remote, with occasional onsite support required at our Downers Grove, IL headquarters.1+ years of experience in a Security Operations role (SOC, Incident Response, Threat Intel, Malware Analysis, IDS/IPS, etc.) preferredExperience with SIEM platforms and security investigationsAct as a first responder for security alerts in an enterprise environmentAnalyze logs, alerts, traffic, and artifacts to determine malicious or benign activityFamiliarity with network, endpoint, and host-based security telemetryUnderstanding of common and emerging attack techniquesStrong working knowledge of operating systems and system architecture, Exposure to enterprise security technologies (EDR, firewalls, proxies, routing, switching, etc.)Relevant certifications (Network+, Security+, CCNA, GCIA, or equivalent)MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or similar frameworksSIEM query languages and investigation workflowsThe candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be requiredLegally authorized to work in the US without sponsorshipMust demonstrate a “can-do” attitudeWe focus on candidates that display our “ACE” factor - Attitude, Compassion, and Enthusiasm to deliver quality solutions with exceptional customer service.
