This role also involves monitoring market conditions, analyzing economic data, and once licensed, executing trades in various fixed income products. A successful hire would eventually grow into a trader within the Fixed Income Capital Markets (FICM) group, who would sit at the Stifel Executable Markets desk. Hours are 5am - 2:30pm.Support trading team on day-to-day operations in a timely and efficient mannerMonitor market activity in various fixed income products and provide concise feedback and analysis to senior tradersDevelop, maintain and enhance databases and reportsAssist in enhancing trading workflows and functionalityAd-hoc projects as directedStrong math and analytical skillsTeam player with excellent verbal and written communicationHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlinesAbility to demonstrate a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving issuesFast learner and self-starter with ability to work independently in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environmentComfort with new and changing technologyHighly proficient with Microsoft ExcelAbility to work with large amounts of dataCoding experience with Python or other programing tools preferredDemonstrated interest in global capital markets, specifically fixed income productsMinimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, Economics or related fieldMinimum Required: 0-2 years relevant work experience preferredMinimum Required: SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 52 within 6 months of hireMinimum Required: NoneStifel is more than 130 years old and still thinking like a start-up.
