Director of Supply Chain

CIS Secure Computing is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Director of Supply Chain that encompasses all aspects of the supply chain. This will include procurement of materials, inventory control, warehouse, picking, and the shipping/receiving departments. The goal is to drive inventory accuracy, accurate kitting of work orders to production, and develop efficient receiving and shipping processes using Lean principles for uninterrupted production and audit compliance. The Director of Supply Chain must be a respected leader, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and departments within the organization, including Production Control, Material Planning, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Facilities, all striving to achieve our corporate goals and objectives.The candidate will be responsible for all purchasing functions and inventory assets (plant, 3PL, sub-contractors, and internal suppliers) and manage a team of approximately 15 to 20 employees, including the Senior Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing Manager, Buyers, Warehouse/Inventory Control, and Shipping/Receiving personnel. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.Someone who is a change agent, collaborative, and excels in dealing with overall supply chain logistics of a fast-paced, dynamic electronics assembly organization with a high degree of managerial skills will find this role extremely rewarding.Setting the strategic vision for the department to achieve corporate objectivesManaging daily operation of the Supply Chain teamHiring, training, supervising and evaluating Supply Chain personnel; ensuring personnel operate in accordance with company guidelines and governmental regulationsEnsuring compliance with company and governmental procurement policies and requirements, including, but not limited to FAR/DFARS, ITAR, Procurement Integrity, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), foreign anti-bribery laws, and import/export regulationsMust have experience with AS9100 and AS6500 requirements (Counterfeit materials, part traceability, anti-tamper, etc and all Supply Chain related processes and procedures)Must have experience flowing down AS9100 and AS6500 and any other contract requirements to the supply baseMust have experience in Supply Chain Risk Management processesSupporting procurement strategies designed to reduce costs, improving product and service quality and expediting delivery.Optimizing use of technology to streamline procurement processesPreparing requests for quotes from suppliersManaging supplier qualification and selection process; evaluating quotes and ensuring quality, cost and lead time requirements are metFoster supplier relationships to manage End of Life and other supply chain risk methodologiesDevelop methods to obtain year over year cost improvements on purchased parts Fostering and maintaining relationships with suppliers; establishing and monitoring supplier performance metrics; resolving disputes with suppliersMonitoring and controlling requisitioning and ordering of goods and services based on approved purchasing authority levels and budgetsStaying abreast of market trends and end of life issue for electronics purchasesIdentify inventory discrepancies, research root causes and lead efforts to implement demonstrated permanent corrective actions (i.e., no repeat variances)The position requires a strong analytical skillset, along with data-driven and a logical approach for improvement actionsProvide evidence of cycle count program compliance for count frequency, approvals aligned with targeted thresholds, and sustainable corrective actionsDrive continuous and simplistic process and system improvements for robust material flow, minimal shortages and correct part quantity accuracyWork with Production Control, Material Planning, Logistics, Production, and Quality to drive inventory accuracy in the factoryControl and confirm inventory adjustments, appropriate transactions and research variancesDevelop intuitive analysis tools and KPI’s for confirmation and reporting of inventory control metricsResponsible for all shipping and receiving activities including international and customer specific requirements for civilian, government and DOD customersInitiate checks and balances for all processes and transactionsOPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:This position anticipates mostly standard hours, with some variability based on surge requirements.This position is expected to perform work on-site at the Ashburn headquarters with some telework possible.TRAVEL:Less than 10%CLEARANCE:This position does not require an active security clearance at the time of application.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, required.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline, OR10+ years related experience in electronics assembly inventory procurement preferred.CERTIFICATION(S):APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification preferred.LEAN / Six Sigma training preferred.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 10 years of related experience in electronics assembly, inventory, and procurement preferred.Analytical capabilities, including data analysis to optimize inventory levels; advanced MS Excel skills.Must have experience adhering to AS9100 and AS6500 supply chain requirements.Experience with standard ERP software and unique Vendor and Visual management systems.Highly detailed and service oriented, strong process-driven nature strongly desired.Strong interpersonal, team and problem-solving skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This job operates in a professional office environment.
