The arena seats more than 10,000 for concerts and more than 8,500 for Lehigh Valley Phantoms professional hockey games, making it the region’s largest events venue.The amenities-packed PPL Center hosts more than 150 events each year, offering something for everyone, including the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the AHL affiliate of the NHL Philadelphia Flyers, live concerts, family shows, trade shows, youth sports, high school and collegiate events, conferences, graduations, and so many more. Chickie’s & Pete’s is a full-service bar and restaurant located within PPL Center, serving lunch Tuesday through Friday and open for events.Maintain a positive, respectful attitude at all timesPerform food preparation duties when neededCheck food for quality and presentation before servingEnsure food is handled in a sanitary mannerSet up stations according to restaurant guidelinesFollow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by Chickie’s & Pete’s. All food items must be prepared according to the menu buildRestock all items as needed throughout shiftClean/maintain station by practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skillsAssist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areasEnsure proper temperatures are maintained on cooking and refrigeration equipmentCommunicated effectively with the ExpeditorAwareness of food allergies and possible areas of cross-contaminationAttend all scheduled employee meetingsAdditional tasks as assigned by managementWork together as a teamPerform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing, and handling of materials. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.High school diploma or equivalent preferredMust be 18 or overOne to two years of experience as a line cook, fast-paced restaurant cook, or prep cook preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, management staff, volunteers and guestsAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, some holidays, and long hoursAbility to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentMust perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing and handling of materials.
