THE ROLEThe Position: The Strategic Account Manager - Strategic Partnerships leads key account relationships and drives growth within Energy Guard’s core partner and fleet ecosystem. This role will look to grow EG’s Share of Wallet outside the GD OE Channel. This role combines account stewardship, strategic selling, and industry networking with the ability to mentor less experienced team members. Ultimately, in determining your exact pay, we may also consider your skills, experience, and other job-related factors.Trailer Aerodynamics is an Equal Opportunity EmployerWHAT YOU’LL DOCustomer & Market DevelopmentProspect and qualify new fleet and dealer leads through research, cold calling, email outreach, and industry events.Conduct introductory presentations and product demos (in person or virtual).Follow up on leads from Great Dane and partner channels.Maintain a disciplined cadence of activity (calls, meetings, emails) logged in CRM.Strategic Account LeadershipManage relationships with key fleets, dealers, and OEM partners (Great Dane, Michelin).Leverage industry contacts to drive specification wins and pull-through demand.Coordinate joint account planning with partner reps and regional sales teams.Sales Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and execute territory sales plans aligned to annual targets (~$350K+).Negotiate pricing, terms, and specifications with procurement and engineering contacts.Track progress in CRM with accurate forecasting and next-step actions.Mentorship & CollaborationSupport onboarding and skill development of junior sales staff.Share best practices and serve as a subject matter expert in fleet sales cycles.Cross-Functional CoordinationPartner with operations, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure delivery excellence.Provide market insights to inform product improvements and competitive positioning.Market and Customer Insights:Gather and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to inform product development and strategic planning.Provide actionable insights to leadership for decision-making and long-term planning.Documentation and Compliance:Ensure all customer interactions, agreements, and transactions are well-documented and align with company policies and regulatory standards.Other duties as assigned.
