The Salvation Army’s Athol Corps., is hiring a Music Instructor & Kids Club Aide and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:Generous paid time off every year that includes: holidays, vacation time and sick timeEmployer funded Pension Plan (company contributions begin after 1 year of employment and consistently works 20+ hours/week)Eligibility for supplemental insurance plans including: Voluntary Term Life & AD&D benefits, AFLAC InsuranceMost importantly - a job with a good purpose!Location: 107 Ridge Ave., Athol, MAHours/week: 2-5 hours per weekExemption: Non-exemptPay Range: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour*starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*Lead music instruction; assist as Kid’s Club AidDuties & Responsibilities:Plan and implement curriculum and programming that effectively meet the developmental needs of both individuals and groups.Monitor and maintain the facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality, including attention to minor repairs, health and safety standards, inventory management, and supply or equipment requests.Complete all assigned documentation accurately and in a timely manner.Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to encourage participation, engagement, and collaboration.Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment at the end of each day.Ensure compliance with all State regulations related to health, education, nutrition, and professional development.Perform other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEducation Requirements:High School or GED RequiredWork Experience:1+ years’ experience working with childrenOther Qualifications:Must be self-motivated, organized, and creativeGood communication skillsSkilled in a brass instrument or piano preferredSkilled in theater arts or drama preferredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
