Outbound Stowe is seeking a highly performing hands-on Maintenance Supervisor who thrives in an outdoor, mountai environment. This is a working supervisor role—not a desk job—ideal for someone who leads by example, works alongside the team, and keeps the resort safe, functional, and adventure-ready. This position reports directly to the Director/Chief of Engineering.Perform daily hands-on maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and outdoor spacesSupervise and support maintenance staff while actively working in the fieldRespond to maintenance requests and guest service calls, including after-hours as neededSupport pre-opening activities including punch lists, inspections, and system startupsMaintain and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building systemsExecute preventive maintenance and conduct routine safety inspectionsCoordinate with contractors and vendors under direction of the DOESupport seasonal and weather-related needs typical of a Sedona mountain resortQualifications3-5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or resort environmentsStrong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairsProven ability to supervise while remaining highly hands-onFlexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidaysStrong problem-solving skills and guest-first mindsetAbility to work independently in an active outdoor environmentPhysical AttributesStand, walk, or move around the property for extended periods as required to complete maintenance inspections and repairs.Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spacesNavigate outdoor areas—including snowy, icy, or uneven terrain—safely during winter monthsLift, carry, push, or pull tools, supplies, and equipment up to 50 lbs. as part of routine maintenance tasksManeuver heavier items with the use of carts, dollies, or team‑lift procedures in accordance with safety policiesComplete job functions outdoors with cold weather, snow and iceIndoor mechanical rooms with heat, noise, or limited ventilationOccasionalrooftop or exterior building workUse appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when requiredUse hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment requiring fine motor skills and controlled movementsPerform tasks requiring grip strength, steady hand coordination, and precise adjustments (e.g., electrical work, plumbing repairs, HVAC components).Visual capacity sufficient to inspect equipment, read gauges, and identify maintenance issuesAuditory ability to hear alarms, equipment sounds, and safety alertsAbility to communicate clearly with team members and guests in potentially noisy environmentsRespond to winter‑related maintenance needs such as snow removal, de‑icing walkways, and monitoring building systems affected by low temperaturesWear winter gear and operate snow‑related equipment (e.g., snow blowers, shovels) when neededMaintain safe working practices in slippery or reduced‑visibility conditions
