Adecco is hiring immediately for a Materials Planner in McAllen, TX. Weekly pay starting at $18.00 p/hr. This is an opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career. Position Summary: With minimal supervision, is responsible for scheduling and/or buying material to specified planning models (MRP, Excel etc.) for the facility. Participates in defining and executing tactical plans to ensure the most efficient utilization of resources. Essential Responsibilities: u2022 Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures u2022 Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports u2022 Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy u2022 Regularly identifies and seeks sale/RMA/disposal of surplus materials u2022 Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders u2022 Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions u2022 Prepares production reports u2022 Prepares purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment u2022 Responsible for quality assurance aspects relative to the job/task performed u2022 Maintains work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping efforts u2022 Adheres to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out/tag-out; report safety concerns, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow all safety practices Qualifications/Requirements: u2022 High School Diploma/GED u2022 Minimum 5 years of experience in materials purchasing and/or materials control and planning u2022 Working knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Excel u2022 Willing and able to work overtime and any shift u2022 Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written procedures, i.e. AWI (Aviation Work Instructions), etc., complete documentation, i.e. routers, etc., and follow verbal instructions ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: u2022 This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, nationals of the United States, asylees and refugees) due to access to export-controlled technology. u2022 Must pass physical, background, and drug screens Desired Characteristics: u2022 Bacheloru2019s or Associateu2019s degree in Supply Change Management or Materials/Inventory Management u2022 Previous experience working with ISO 9000 requirements, APICS Certification, MRP, and Oracle-MRO/OSB u2022 Effective problem identification and solution skills u2022 Proven analytical and organizational ability u2022 Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes u2022 Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting u2022 Follow and promote safe work practices u2022 Communicate effectively with others What's in this for you? + Weekly pay starting at $18.00 p/hr. + Benefits after 1 week u2013 medical, dental, vision, options, and Paid leave through Adecco + A job to jump start your career Adecco provides one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the industry for contract workers.
