Little Water Recycling Facility (ECLWRF) in El Segundo, CA. In this role, you will support the maintenance department by managing shipping, receiving, and distribution of procured items, monitoring and controlling inventory operations, and maintaining the warehouse according to standard procedures. You will interface with department managers, supervisors, and representatives to ensure timely distribution of goods and accurate processing of shipping/receiving documentation. This position also involves coordination with corporate finance and procurement to ensure proper order handling and timely invoice payments.Bring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and weu2019ll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the worldu2019s most challenging Operations Management projects, together.#omfs #bia #ourjacobsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Warehouse Operations:u2022 Receive, unpack, inspect, and store merchandise or materials; distribute to appropriate departments or individuals.u2022 Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization; optimize space utilization including shelving.u2022 Track physical inventories and maintain minimum inventory levels for critical parts.u2022 Identify obsolete parts and coordinate disposal with maintenance and operations teams.u2022 Maintain inventory of shared tools, manage dispatching, and inspect tool condition.u2022 May operate forklift and other material handling equipment.Shipping & Receiving:u2022 Verify incoming merchandise against invoices/orders; report discrepancies and damages.u2022 Ensure safe unloading of merchandise and timely dispatch to destinations.u2022 Prepare shipping documents (packing lists, labels, BOLs) and complete shipping/receiving reports.u2022 Process returned and damaged goods promptly; maintain accurate records of shipments and receipts.u2022 Communicate with vendors and couriers regarding delivery dates, delays, and ventory & Planning Support:u2022 Maintain accurate inventory records; assist with cycle counts and monthly inventory updates.u2022 Update CMMS and ERP/MRP systems with inventory and order data.u2022 Inform requestors when items have been received; ensure purchase orders and requisitions are filled correctly.u2022 Follow up on back-orders and discrepancies with vendors and/or corporate accounting.Other Duties:u2022 Resolve customer service issues and complaints related to warehouse operations.u2022 May perform hands-on operational duties during specific shifts (e.g., board operation, field sampling, rounds).u2022 May interact with West Basin MWD representatives and contractors.u2022 Perform other functions as assigned by supervisor. u2022 CWEA Grade I Maintenance Certification or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.u2022 1-3 years of experience in procurement and administrative office work.u2022 1-3 years of experience with CMMS.u2022 2+ years in a wastewater/water treatment facility or similar industrial environment.u2022 Valid California Driveru2019s License with clean record.u2022 Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklift (or willingness to learn).u2022 Knowledge of procurement practices and inventory control.Ideally, You'll Also Have:u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent.u2022 Forklift Certification.u2022 Strong oral/written communication skills; customer service-oriented and team-focused.u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.u2022 Basic math and accounting skills.u2022 Strong attention to detail and accuracy.u2022 Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.u2022 Excellent organizational and planning skills.u2022 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse setting.Working Conditions:Safety is a core value at Jacobs.
