Technical Writer

Description We are looking for a skilled Technical Writer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Canandaigua, New York. This role focuses on creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation that supports users and enhances product understanding. You will collaborate with various teams to gather information and ensure content aligns with organizational standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Develop and update technical documents such as user guides, manuals, FAQs, and release notes to assist users in understanding products. u2022 Work closely with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to collect, verify, and integrate technical details. u2022 Structure and organize documentation to enhance clarity, usability, and consistency. u2022 Ensure all materials meet quality standards, adhere to branding guidelines, and comply with accessibility requirements. u2022 Regularly review and revise documentation to incorporate product updates and improvements. u2022 Track and manage versions of technical content to maintain accuracy across releases. u2022 Contribute to the creation and refinement of style guides and templates to uphold documentation best practices. u2022 Identify opportunities to improve content delivery and support user needs effectively. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical writing or a related field. u2022 Strong proficiency in creating user-focused documentation, including manuals, guides, and FAQs. u2022 Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers. u2022 Excellent organizational skills for structuring and managing content. u2022 Familiarity with documentation standards, accessibility requirements, and quality assurance processes. u2022 Experience with version control and content management systems. u2022 Knowledge of technical writing tools and software. u2022 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.
