Description: Job Description Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our Air Dominance program team in Orlando, Florida. As a key leader in our organization, you will oversee a growing team of manufacturing engineers responsible for driving the success of our production programs. What You Will Be Doing Key Responsibilities: + Lead a team of manufacturing engineers in providing Design for Manufacture input on development and production programs. + Transition new or revised designs from development to production, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption. + Develop and manage proposal estimates, leveraging expertise in manufacturing processes and costs. + Lead manufacturing process validation activities, driving quality and efficiency in our production operations. + Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives, improving overall program profitability. + Collaborate with crossu2011functional teams to identify and mitigate risks to production, ensuring timely and effective resolution. + Provide manufacturing support to Lockheed Martin and supplier factories, ensuring alignment and optimal performance. + Manage programu2011related manufacturing and tooling issues as they arise. Collaboration and Communication: + Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the United States, including manufacturing engineers, design engineers, quality engineers, global supply chain professionals, finance teams, production planning and control specialists, contracts experts, and program managers. + Communicate effectively across functional and physical boundaries, ensuring alignment and coordination among diverse teams. + Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners, driving collaboration and mutual success. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelors or higher degree in technical discipline (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, etc.) u2022 Demonstrated an ability to work strategically as well as tactically to drive operations. u2022 Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance u2022 Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations u2022 Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships u2022 Ability to liaison between Production Operations, Manufacturing Sites, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, etc. u2022 Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex u2022 Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) u2022 Ability to travel domestically Desired Skills: u2022 Experience with development programs & transitioning development programs to production u2022 Experience with design for automation & automation of manufacturing processes u2022 Knowledge & experience of additive manufacturing processes, materials, & application u2022 Experience with model based engineering u2022 Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software u2022 Proposals / estimating and earned value management u2022 System Cost Account Manager experience u2022 Experience with leading teams u2022 Experience working with government customers u2022 Knowledge of Windchill PLM u2022 Knowledge of the SAP MRP production control system u2022 Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification u2022 Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical colleagues u2022 Experience developing training & upskilling plans for a team Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
