Job Title: Production Operator Job Description We are seeking dedicated Production Operators to join our team for 1st and 2nd Swing shifts (7am-3pm / 3pm-11pm). Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, you will ensure the proper operation and cleaning of production equipment in the safe manufacture of powder coatings at our facility. Operators may be assigned to Grinding, Weighing, or Extrusion production areas. Responsibilities + Take ownership of production assets and ensure they are operated safely, adhering to established procedures and industry practices. + Perform daily production, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administrative tasks according to procedures and control systems. + Report safety, quality, or other issues related to products or production processes to the Team Leader or Shift Supervisor. + Ensure all production targets are met while maintaining appropriate quality standards. + Attend and contribute to meetings. + Contribute to the investigation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) or quality issues. + Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and programs for HSE, Quality, and other initiatives as assigned. + Engage in the Safety Journey and adhere to the Golden Principle: intervene to stop work if conditions or behavior are unsafe. + Promote health, safety, and environmental regulations by ensuring compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local standards, policies, and procedures. + Perform other duties as required for the success of the organization. Essential Skills + Two to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment. + Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English, including understanding process sheets with product directions and safety precautions. + Demonstrate integrity while performing duties as per the companyu2019s Code of Conduct. + Perform complex testing processes on production batches to measure product's physical or chemical characteristics. + Maintain and calibrate test equipment. + Record and report observations or test results legibly and completely. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Prior experience in a paint manufacturing facility preferred. + Basic mechanical aptitude required. + Basic Microsoft skills preferred. + Strong work history preferred. + High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Work Environment Work directly on the manufacturing floor in a climate-controlled environment. The team comprises about five people per section, working with older machinery. There is some dust in the air, but the area is kept clean. Employees work an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
