Field Technical Specialist u2013 Electrified Infrastructure Location: Pittsburgh, PA Travel: Company vehicle provided for job-related travel Position Type: Full-time Overview: We are seeking a Field Technical Specialist, Electrified Infrastructure to support the reliability, performance, and expansion of next-generation power delivery systems at customer sites. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with customer-facing professionalism, ensuring equipment uptime and service excellence. Key Responsibilities: + Perform on-site inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance for electrical infrastructure using digital diagnostic tools and traditional testing methods. + Execute service calls, upgrades, and repairs while documenting actions and outcomes in internal systems. + Coordinate with subcontractors, utilities, site contacts, and suppliers to ensure accurate and efficient project completion. + Monitor system performance data, identify trends or anomalies, and escalate technical or operational risks as needed. + Support customer retention by identifying opportunities for preventive programs, enhanced services, or future equipment needs. + Maintain strict compliance with all safety, regulatory, and operational standards when working with energized equipment. + Represent the company positively at customer locations, building trust and long-term partnerships. + Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs to stay current with emerging technologies. Qualifications & Skills: + Minimum of 2 years of experience with electrical systems, power equipment, renewable energy, or field service roles. + Technical degree, trade certification, or equivalent hands-on training in electrical or mechanical disciplines. + Licensed electrician credentials or formal apprenticeship strongly preferred. + Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, power electronics, and equipment troubleshooting. + Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in dynamic operational settings. + Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. + Valid driveru2019s license and ability to travel extensively within a defined service region.
